These are full suspension Mudguards that really work
I first saw these mudguards in March 2016 although they have been around for a few years now.
The guard arrives with minimal packaging but instantly you realise that it is solid and well made.
I easily fitted the rear 29er and a front Race mudhugger to my Scott Genius 650B using the zip ties provided, there is even some clear frame protectors included to stop any scuffs on the frame.
There are two size front mudguards The Race and The Shorty which are suitable for most MTB's you just need enough clearance under the front suspension.
Rear Mudguards come in two sizes the Standard which is suitable for 26" hardtail and full suspension and recommended for 27.5" hardtails, Then there is a large size which are built for 29" and 27.5" full suspension bikes.
On the Trails
Although the Winter so far hasn't been too wet I have now spent a good few weeks testing these in the lovely Berkshire mud.
So far I am impressed. You still get the odd splash of mud but it is greatly reduced due to the large coverage area these guards provide.
The front guard disappears around the front tyre even the Race version which is slightly longer is hardly noticeable.
The rear hugs the tyre near the frame but extends out at the back so is a bit more noticeable but in my opinion a neater fit than the seat mounted guards as it stays inline with the wheel.
Why we like it
Solid guards that can be fitted close to the wheel on full suspension bikes.
The rear is always in line with the wheel and the front almost disappears.

Mudhuggers are designed and manufactured in the UK.
Mudhugger came about at end of summer 2012 starting with some pop rivets, bits of aluminium and an old mudguard they made the first Mudhugger for themselves and after the first couple of rides realised that they had come up with something that really worked and decided to have a go at making and selling them . Several months later the end result is the Mudhugger you can purchase online.
